Canvas op de 7e organiseert ook deze zomer de Sziget Party Trein naar het gelijknamige festival in Boedapest. Vanwege het succes van de eerste editie in 2009, wordt er dit jaar grootser dan tevoren uitgepakt. Omgedoopt tot de Sziget Partytrein Hippie Express gaat de trein in hippiestijl en al feestend de eindbestemming tegemoet. Vanuit Nederland (Amsterdam CS, Utrecht CS, Rotterdam CS, Eindhoven CS en Venlo) vertrekt een onvergetelijke expeditie richting het Sziget festival in Boedapest, een treinreis die net zo leuk is als het festival zelf...

In het midden van de 14 coupes bevinden zich twee coupes omgebouwd tot een bar en een club waar je je gedurende een treinreis van 22 uur kunt voorbereiden op de sfeer en muziek van het festival. Resident dj’s Steven de Peven, Aardvarck, San Proper, Zender, Dopeness Galore, Resol, Jules de la Courgette, Marvin Michel en Thomas Robson staan klaar om het feest te starten . Ook Ella Wonder en 3 fm serious request’s Baskerville is van de partij. De trein is tevens the place to be om kennis te maken met 800 lotgenoten met hetzelfde doel en dezelfde bestemming.

Na deze warming-up gaat het feest onverhinderd door op het Sziget festival in Boedapest. Met namen als Madness, UB40, Toots & the Maytals, Dj Shadow, Buena Vista Social Club, Iron Maiden en honderden andere muzikanten, dj’s en acts is Sziget niet voor niets het festival der festivals.

Na een jaartje wachten gaat het weer gebeuren, Amsterdam's enige festival op het Strand komt er weer aan! Blijburg is wederom speciaal voor de gelegenheid verplaatst naar een nog grotere lokatie om dit evenement een onderkomen te kunnen bieden!  De line-up is bekend dus bezoek voor meer informatie en tickets onze nieuwe website!

For the last few years, Pillow Fight Day has been held in numerous  cities across the globe.  It's all about reclaiming the public space as a playground for all to  enjoy. A free event intended to inspire giddy, childish joy in everyone. This year will be bigger and better... plus there will be a wicked free  after party within a stone’s throw from the pillow fight! So tell your  friends, bring your own pillow and join the fun! You're of course free to bring more friends with you. Everyone can join... So invite your friends now!

The Rules of Pillow Fight:
 
1. Bring your own pillow. Use soft pillows only! Feathers are strongly encouraged.
2. Dress for the occasion. If you have glasses, remove them. Fragile clothes are not recommended in  general! You may want to pick something playful to wear to the pillow fight.
3. Get there in time. Try and get there at 4.45pm so you don't miss any of the fun!
4. Wait for the Siren. It should sound when everyone has gathered at 5pm. After it goes off, run screaming "piiiilllllooooow fiiiight"!
5. Do not swing your pillow too hard. We play to have fun, not to hurt.
6. Do not hit anyone without a pillow. This includes, but is not limited to, people with cameras, bystanders,  police and other civic authorities, property eg. cars. Please use common  sense.
7. Clean up after you. Bring a garbage bag and some gloves and help clean up some of the  fluff/feathers/pillows. The environment will love you forever.
8. Tell your friends about the pillow fight. Tell them to join in on the madness! And please brief them on the rules.
9. Come to the After Party! There is a free after party with cheap drinks and sleazy dj’s, starting  right after the fight just around the corner from the Dam. It’s at LANX  society, Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 167. We have the place for the whole  night, so wear your pyjama’s and bring your pillow!
